This is a blog about the Munda Biddi Trail

It is a true insider story about riding the trail through the great Australian bush. Its not like riding in Europe or most other countries because its more remote and some distance between country towns.

My name is Graham Mason and I live in Denmark in Western Australia, a small town on the South Coast of Western Australia. The 1000km Munda Biddi Mountain Bike trail from Perth to Albany opened recently and there is a need for a blog to share information about the track outside the structure of the Munda Biddi Foundation and DEC that administer the track. I manage and own the Local YHA Backpackers in the Town and I know that good information can help people to cycle the trail.

The Bibbulmun Hiking Track also comes through here and for years I have been interacting with hikers. Some of them do all the right things and others make some dreadful mistakes. I am starting this blog so that people can share information about riding the track. If you read my blog entries and have something to add, then I would be really pleased if you could post a reply. If we share our experiences then all can benefit.

At this time I have only managed to ride a few sections, and I intend to do it all in spring. But I am already getting riders coming through here and I am picking up a few tips. I bought myself a New Merida 29" Mountain Bike and have enjoyed getting myself fit on it.
